MINNIKHANOV NURGALI MINNIKHANOVICH
(1930-2001)
Honored Forester of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of science and technology.
From 1962 to 1990, he was the head of Sabinsky forestry enterprise and forestry farm. During the years of his leadership, the company was repeatedly awarded with the Red Passing Banners of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the All-Union Central Soviet of Trade Unions, Central Committee of the Komsomol. It was also enlisted on the All-Union Board of Honor of the Exhibition of achievements of the National Economy of the USSR.
His long-term and impeccable work was awarded with the Orders of the "Badge of Honor” and the “October Revolution”, as well as many medals.
Thanks to his creative approach to work and close cooperation with scientists, Nurgali Minnikhanov developed the “innovative Sabinsky” method of gradually selective logging, which served to revive the indigenous forest-forming conifers in the forest fund.
He was a talented teacher, who brought up a whole galaxy of foresters, continuing his work, and created the school of foresters of N.M. Minnikhanov.

He organized and headed the laboratory of microclonal reproduction in vitro on the basis of the Sabinsky Forest Breeding and Seed Center.
The author of over 250 scientific and methodological works in the field of forest soil science, forest science and forest management.
The outstanding teacher brought up a whole galaxy of scientists, foresters and forest soil scientists, heads of forest institutions and foresters of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation, who continue his work.
